Good bye Canada

My stay in Canada ended in July 2007, but I'm sure it wasn't the last time I've been there :-)

Muskoka / Algonquin Park

We started our Long Weekend Trip in Collingwood, a nice little town, 1h from home.

Then we enjoyed the view from the Blue Mountain


On the top, I saw this sign:

And they really go skiing here in winter!

The height of the "mountain" is 220 metres ;-)

Sunset in Wasaga Beach

Sunday 1st July = Canada Day

We drove with the old VW Jetta along the little lakes in the area of Muskoka.

After 400km we stopped at the Wolf Den Bunkhouse, where we had booked a night in one of the cabins. They have a cozy lounge for every guest in the main lodge.

On Monday we finally arrived at the Algonquin National Park

It's huge and beautiful!

Wasaga Beach

During the summer, there's almost every weekend a festival at the Harbourfront Centre.

Miss Midland Cruise

In Midland on the Georgian Bay, I went on a boat cruise among the largest concentration of islands in the world.

Cook's Bay / Lake Simcoe
